I kept thinking of all the people in the world who are waiting for their loved ones to return home safely as I was painting this painting. It just seems like so many people are praying for peace so their loved ones will be returned, not just in this country, but around the world. I therefore will donate the slae of this painting and of every print and card that is sold of this image to enhance the efforts others are making toward peace. After looking online at the peace organizations, I have decided that President Jimmy Carter's organization "The Carter Center"..."Waging Peace, Fighting Disease, Building Hope" will be the destination of the proceeds. Thank you to all who "wage peace".
