GLORIOUS COLOR! The TV series "Glorious Color" I was asked to do a film series for MCTV-teaching people the basics of oil painting. I was nervous to do it but knew I had to get over my fear of being in front of a camera if I wanted to help a lot of people find the wonderful world of art. These five shows are packed full of information for beginning oil painters as well as the more seasoned oil painter. Episode 1 " Paints, Palettes and Brushes" is a description of all the materials to get you started painting and how to care for your materials so you will have them a long, long, time. Episode 2 is "Canvas and Composition" What surfaces are good to paint on with an eye toward permanence including how to make your own panels. "Canvas & Composition" also covers the golden mean, the armiture of a rectangle (briefly) and how to set up a pleasing still life.... You will surely want to check out these two programs!!! They will be running in other communities as well, please contact your local cable company to see the times and dates!
